We are committed to reducing the number of empty properties in the borough. There are various incentive schemes to help owners bring empty properties back into residential use.

We can give an owner advice and assistance on how an empty property can be brought back into use.

If your property stays empty for a long time we have government powers to take it over.

Empty property grants are available to refurbish a single dwelling or to convert a large property (including commercial) into one or more dwellings.

Your property is an asset - use it, don't waste it!
