Nobody should store or sell fireworks unless the occupier of the premises has registered with the council.
Brent Council provides explosive sales registration and enforces the Manufacture and Storage of Explosives Regulations 2005 Act. The legislation strictly controls the periods of the year when fireworks may be sold, and lays down conditions and standards for the storage of fireworks.
It is an offence to let off fireworks in a public place other than at a properly supervised and regulated display. It is also an offence for any person under the age of 18 to buy fireworks.
