Barham Park Library proposals

12/11/2009

Two information evenings are being held for local residents to find out more about proposals to transform Barham Park library into a library and children's centre.

Families and library users will be able to view the plans and talk to council officers about the wider range of services that will be on offer at the new look building. These include:

  • the latest self-service technology so book borrowers won't have to queue wide range of new stock
  • new training and meeting facilities
  • more public access computers areas for quiet reading and study  drop-in play sessions
  • a creche to support parents accessing training such as IT skills or English as a second language
  • one-to-one appointments with the Citizens Advice Bureau and Jobcentre Plus
  • a range of helpful information and advice.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and get involved in the design process.

Find out more by coming along to Barham Park library on the Harrow Road on Thursday 11 June between 10.30am and 12noon and 6pm and 7.30pm. Refreshments will be provided.

For further information please telephone 020 8937 3550.
