Shoppers will once again get to enjoy the delights of an authentic French market when traders from across the channel set up shop in Wembley High Road on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 April 2009 and on to Willesden on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26.
The French market offers many beautiful open-air stalls selling traditional French products in a very French atmosphere, complete with French flags music and dancing such as:
The colourful market brings together commercial, educational and cultural attractions for the people of Wembley and Normandy.
It is part of a unique cultural project called France at Home that sees French traders from Normandy come and sell their wares to local residents. The association travels around Europe on a regular basis and have visited Brent on previous occasions.
Competition
This year, Town Centre Management in conjunction with the Market Operator, France At Home will be giving out two hampers of goodies from the market worth £75 each. In order to be in the running for it answer the following question:
"What is the French word for pancake?"
Write down your answer and contact details on a piece of paper, take it to the market, either Wembley or Willesden, and submit to the Crepe stall. The lucky entries will be drawn from a hat on Friday 24 April in Wembley and Sunday 26 April in Willesden
