East Lane road closure

Drivers are being warned to avoid East Lane, in Wembley, from Saturday 14 February 2009 because of urgent work to replace a major gas valve.

Roadworks will close East Lane to traffic at the junction with Blenheim Gardens for between ten and 14 days.

The work is being carried out by Morrisons on behalf of British Gas. The defective valve is being urgently replaced because the gas to many households and commercial premises in Wembley could be cut if it failed. There will be no disruption to gas supplies while it is underway.
