Conference for the voluntary sector

Anyone with an interest in Brent's voluntary sector is invited to attend a conference which is being organised to promote partnership working in the borough.

The event will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009 in the Paul Daisley Hall, Brent Town Hall, Forty Lane, Wembley from 9.15-4pm.

There will be keynote speeches by representatives of the Audit Commission and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations.

The conference will also feature:

• the chance to learn more about the national agenda on partnership and the voluntary sector
• master classes on Local Strategic Partnership representation, regeneration, lobbying and campaigning, and involving volunteers
• panel discussions on different issues with representatives from the voluntary sector, Brent Council, police, NHS Brent and the fire brigade
• discussions about partnership working in the borough.
