Vote for Brent River Park

12/11/2009

Local people are being urged to take part in a public vote which could win £400,000 to transform a Brent park, and to ask their friends, family, colleagues and neighbours to Vote for Brent River Park as well.

Brent River Park is competing for the money against other parks in west London as part of the Mayor of London's Priority Parks scheme.

Brent Council wants to win the huge sum to vastly-improve Brent River Park - which borders Neasden, Stonebridge, St Raphael's and Tokyngton  - turning it into a fantastic place for walkers and cyclists to enjoy and a haven for wildlife.

But only the two parks with the most votes out of nine short-listed from west London will get the money so every vote counts.

Please take part - you don't have to live in Brent.

It's free, easy and quick to vote online at the Help a London park website but you can also text 'PARKS' followed by your full postcode to 62967 (10p per text) or send in a postcard.

But there are two Brent River Parks in the competition, so please make sure you vote for Brent River Park (London Borough of Brent) and not the other one!
