The Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service (EMTAS) is seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant to join the team who has a strong commitment to raising educational standards for ethnic minority pupils.You will provide teaching support to Gypsy, Roma and Traveller pupils in primary and secondary schools (Primarily KS2 - KS3) and provide advice and support to parents, teachers and teaching assistants.


The successful candidate will:

 

  • have had experience of teaching and providing support for pupils in primary or secondary schools in a multi-ethnic setting
  • have had experience of working with parents and carers
    be suitably qualified (e.g to equivalent NVQ Level 3)
  • be committed to inclusion and working with children from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller background.
