Change for children - are we making a difference?

Early years education and childcare are flourishing in Brent, our workforce is our greatest asset and a unique opportunity has arisen to join the staff of our latest state-of-the art Children's Centre.

The Willow Children's Centre has become the focal point in the community for children under five and their families. Early education, childcare, family support, health care, training and employment advice is available at the Centre through a multi-disciplinary team based on site.

We are looking for a proactive and self-driven individual to work as a Senior Administrator. You will be required to ensure the smooth running of administration, to provide an effective and confidential Personal  Assistance to the Head of Centre as well as ensuring that financial management processes are comprehensively implemented.

The successful postholder will have experience of managing administrative staff including their supervision and support, and will be required to plan administrative support to the team as a whole and work to tight deadlines.

The post requires an organised and efficient person who is able to work within established systems, as well as having the initiative and skills to develop new systems with the Head of Centre and Senior Management team.

Applicants must be proficient in computer skills and possess extensive knowledge of Word, Access and Excel software. The post holder will also need to be familiar with ORACLE, or have aptitude and willingness to learn, in order to perform complex data inputting of invoices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be a must, along with a positive and flexible attitude, a willingness to learn and a determination to provide the highest level of customer service to the families visiting our centre.

If this sounds interesting and you welcome the chance to work in an enthusiastic and professional environment where you can be part of a team making a difference to the lives of children and families, then we would like to hear from you.
