You should have a recognised qualification in Social Work and have an approved social work status, or be willing to train. You must also have a minimum of two years post qualification experience in a community setting.
You will need to be flexible and be able to work effectively in a challenging and demanding but culturally rich environment.
You will need to be an excellent communicator with highly developed organisational skills and be able to work autonomously, as well as working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
You will be required to undertake direct social work intervention within the framework of the Care Programme Approach and ensure the implementation of agreed care and risk management plans.
You must have the ability and skill to deal effectively with crisis situations, while ensuring the well-being of service users, carers and the general public.
You will contribute to the training and professional development students and staff, and maintain your own professional development by undertaking relevant training.
An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure check will be required for this role.
