We are looking for an extraordinary, dynamic, self starter who wants to be the first in the country to deliver a strategic high profile project.
The project involves tackling the cycle of dependency on social housing and benefits, empowering young people to gain skills and employment, and to provide practical assistance to help them towards independence. The project has government and Housing Corporation approval and funding. If you succeed you could be part of a future change in government policy.
The InComE project will tackle overcrowding, using social housing as leverage by temporarily housing unemployed adults in social housing whilst they engage in training and employment, receiving support and capacity building. The accommodation is linked to successful participation in work related training or Train to Gain employment and provides a safe route for young adults to move on from overcrowded families and increase their skills, aspirations and expectations.
You will have strong interpersonal skills with an ability to motivate people and gain their trust.
You will have excellent literacy and numerical skills coupled with the ability to problem solve and make high impact decisions. Project management skills are essential as is the ability to use an IT system and interpret data.
Most importantly your energy, passion and experience of delivering successful, complex and critical project challenges will be key.
The West London Housing Partnership consists of the seven local authorities who have been joined for this project by nine Housing Associations who are all actively involved, although this role will report into Shepherds Bush Housing Association.
This post is initially a fixed term contract for 2 and a half years. If the project is successful the role may become permanent.
