There is a large programme under way laying the foundation for business transformation. This includes the roll out of IP telephony including Unified Messaging, achieving ISO27001 accreditation, developing a Client Index, implementing MS Exchange 2007 and carrying out a data rationalisation project that includes implementing SharePoint 2007. So, you'll be perfectly placed to add to your skills, knowledge and expertise.
The Core Services Support Manager is primarily responsible for managing and coordinating the support and development of Brent's Core Applications. The successful applicant will co-ordinate the implementation, support and availability of applications which are critical to the business of Brent Council. The role involves the management of a technical support team of analysts and programmers in order to accomplish organizational goals and alignment with business priorities for a user base of approximately 3000.
We are looking for someone who is able to manage Service Level Agreements to ensure that services are not interrupted and prioritise and communicate clearly with officers at all levels of the Council. You will need to be able to develop information strategies and manage staff effectively in order to achieve targets defined in the IT Strategy. You will need to have knowledge of the Prince2 project management methodology and an understanding of ITIL service management. You will need experience of managing projects and managing a team of technical staff. You will have a proven track record in Service Delivery.
