Acquisitive crime covers aspects of robbery and burglary such as street crime, business and retail crime and motor vehicle crime. The Brent Community Safety Partnership aims to reduce these crimes by raising public awareness, reducing opportunities for offences to take place and increasing detection of these crimes.
The partnership undertakes a range of projects and initiatives to tackle this crime type. This can include increasing security and lighting in areas where these crimes are common, running awareness campaigns about motor vehicle crime, robbery and burglary and specific police operations aimed at reducing these crimes.
Crime Prevention Officers (CPOs) can also visit your home and assess what security improvements can be made. CPOs are based at each police station and can be contacted on 020 8733 4665.
