Brent Home Ownership Exhibition
The 2008 Affordable Home Ownership Exhibition took place at the Advait Centre in Wembley on Friday 14 March.
The exhibition was for key workers and other first time buyers priced out of the London housing market.
Visitors were able to learn about affordable new homes in Brent and other areas.
The exhibition was attended by around 700 people. 19 organisations from housing associations to financial advisers sponsored and exhibited at the event.
Visitors were also able to:
- Get information on the Newbuild HomeBuy, Open Market HomeBuy, Intermediate Rent and other initiatives
- Find out how to apply with the HomeBuy agent
- Enquire about properties with housing associations and make appointments to view properties
- Speak with independent financial advisors and solicitors to understand the costs involved
They also took part in a housing survey and were automatically entered into a prize draw to win one of three 1GB iPod shuffle sponsored by HomeBuy agent for East, North, and West London - Metropolitan Home Ownership (Housing Options). The deadline for returning the survey was Friday 28 March 2008. Winners of the prize draw will be notified on Wednesday 9 April 2008.
